Great Bakery with Mouth-Watering Treats & Deserts

Mama Mia! There is so much to tell you about this store! Eugene, the Baker/Chef and owner, was raised in his parents Bakery-Deli in the heart of New York. They taught him all their great secret family recipes from Italy. Fantastic recipes that he has mastered well! One thing he said he learned was that nothing replaces the real thing. Eugene said what you won’t find here are chemicals, preservatives, fake eggs or powdered milk. Only the real deal here!

The Bakery: Mouth-watering Italian butter cookies, éclairs, cream puffs, and of course cannolis. Scrumptious coffee cakes, Danish, turnovers and much more. Gorgeous custom cakes for any occasion…birthday cake for seven to a seven tiered wedding cake. (By the way, I was here when a bride, groom and mom picked up their wedding cake. It was so beautiful! A light honey-tan frosting color with the most intricate bright white lace frosting over-lay, it was lovely and they were all so happy with it.)

The Deli: Hot or cold Hero sandwiches, made to order. Breakfast croissants with egg and ham, bacon, or sausage…fresh and wonderful. Eugene’s most famous sandwich is named after his daughter, Daniella (who also named the store), and is made of salami, ham Capicola and provolone cheese and served on fresh baked Italian bread. Yummy!!

The Market: Hard to find items like pastas, specialty beans, olives, peppers, oils fresh grated cheese, and Italian specialty cold-cuts. He also offers catering…from lasagna to chicken or eggplant parmesan, to sausage & peppers or three-foot subs.

Eugene offered a few samples and I tasted my first connoli! Nope…never had one in my life! Oh my, was it fantastic. I bought some for the gang at the office and one of the writers, who just adores cannoli’s, said it was the best she had ever tasted.

So stop by for a coffee a cannoli. While you’re there say “Hi” to Mary, the smiling lady who runs the front counter.

THE STAFF IS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. My father who is legally blind with diabetes went in and asked if he could possibly put in a special order for canolis made with splenda and then the staff started cussing at him and told him to go somewhere else.
