Don Chuy’s is run by Jesus Sr. and his wife Otilia (both who has been in the restaurant industry for over 18 years. They have worked in all types of restaurants but their dream has always been to open a restaurant catering to their heritage and using family recipes. A dream that with the help of their son-in law, Jesus Jr., they made come true in 2006.

Jesus Jr. said, “the food is really fabulous, the chicken fajitas are the best I have ever eaten in my entire life. Our menudo soup will warm you on the coldest of days.

Our salsa, guacamole, enchiladas sauce and hot sauce are made from scratch and all our ingredients are fresh. No short cuts here, we cook like grandmas did years ago.

Well, we like Mexican food so we thought we would try a sampling from their menu. We ordered the darn good deal special listed above, the Chicken Enchiladas, Super Nachos, Tamales*, Asada Sandwich and last but not least the Chicken Fajitas (my favorite). I tell you no lie, everyone loved everything. Chris said the Tamales were, ‘to die for’. Zephan loved the Asada Sandwich, Skye devoured the nachos, and Mark just ate and ate. Really good Mexican food!

Happy hour is Tues to Friday 3-6 domestic beer is $1.50 and Mexican beer is $2.50

Come in sit-down; enjoy our atmosphere and a beer or margarita or call ahead for take out.

*Tamales, we were told go fast, so be sure to call ahead if you want a dozen to go, like we did.
