Jimmy has owned his own business since 1985. I asked him how he got started in this line of work and he said, “When I got out of the service I had the GI bill to help me, so I used it to go to a great local school to get my certification. I am so glad I did, because I love the work and I really like to be able to help people”

He said, I try to hard to keep everyone’s existing units working, and I do, 99% of the time. Sometimes, other companies go out and tell the people they need to replace the unit or buy an expensive part, when there is really only a small problem. I just could never do that.
Jimmy said, “The best advice I can give anyone is to change your air-filters once a month. Really! It makes such a difference. When the filters get dirty, the air meets resistance and the units have to work much harder. So many times people call me because they don’t have cold air and I ask how long since they have changed the filters. When they can’t even remember, I know it’s been too long. I tell them to turn off the unit for two hours and change their filters. Much of the time, that’s all it takes. Now, I could have gone out and charged for the service call, but that would not be the right thing to do.”
I also met a Jimmy’s friend, John. John works for a very large heating and air-conditioning Distributor and he told me he has known Jimmy for years and years. John said that, “Jimmy is one of the most extremely honest people I knows in this business. He often does things for his customers that they don’t even know he’s doing, and never charges them”.
Jimmy explained that most of his service people have been with him for years and you just couldn’t find a nicer group of guys. His team works anywhere in Maricopa County, and they don’t charge extra for weekend calls!! WOW!!!
The next time I need help, I think I sure will give him a call.
