Kevin told me a new trend is to install mirror all along the wall behind your kitchen countertop and stove. It makes kitchens look much larger and mirror is easier to keep clean than wall surface. I really like this and I can imagine how much larger it would make my own kitchen look.

Kevin’s father , Tony, started this business in 1959, in the exact location they are in now. Kevin said he learned his trade from his father, when ‘glazing’ was done with art and true craftsmanship. He said he can’t help but think of his dad on every job because he always wants to live up to the quality work that his dad always expected of him. Kevin’s son Josh is now learning this time honored skill and does all the glass and mirror cutting. Kevin hopes one day Josh will continue in his grandfathers’ legacy.

Eddie works here too (for 30 years) and Kevin said he is the finest window and shower door installer he has ever worked with. Kevin said Eddies’ work is impeccable. Shower doors and windows go in right the first time, without any leaks or gaps.

By the way, if you bring your window frame into the shop you can enjoy a considerable savings and judging by the amount of glass I saw waiting to be picked up a lot of people use this service.

I asked Kevin what part of the business he personally enjoyed the most. He told me, far and away, it was the custom work where he gets to work with and design large heavy glass door shower enclosures and custom mirror work. "This is when I really get to use all the skills my father taught me as well as all I learned in college when I studied interior design."
