When Mark Castle founded his company in 1981, he had a very simple idea; to make the finest sunscreens possible. Nothing less. There’d be no compromising of quality in the name of efficiency or for the sake of convenience; there’d be no short cuts, there’d be no materials that were “almost as good” And if it costs us more to produce sunscreens and shades of this caliber, so be it. The country has changed since then. Manufacturers have learned that people will accept less. So they are content to offer less. But we have not changed. To this day, we will never use inferior fiberglass fabrics, plastic frame corners and components, cut corners by drilling through the frames as apposed to using a die cast barrel clip so the customer can easily remove there sunscreens for cleaning and window washing.
