In addition to rentals, TUC specializes in sales and service of scooters, bicycles, alternative transportation and clean, low cost modes of travel; but it doesn’t end there… It is their mission to help empower people to improve the environment, save money, and simply feel good about their daily commutes.

Pat and Patricia opened TUC last year and Matt has been their manager since January. I asked Matt who their typical client is. He said his customers range in all ages; from college students to 40-somethings to seniors. Some are looking for economical transportation to school, work, or shopping, while others are just looking for a fun way to get about town. He also said that many out of town visitors and travelers love scooters for recreation and getting around, rather than driving rental cars or their RV’s.

They are an authorized dealer for Lance, Diamo, Italjet, Fly, and Tank scooters. Matt said their most popular brand is Lance, which offers a 1 year warranty on both parts and labor. Scooter choices are 50cc (100 mpg/40 mph) starting at $1,200; 150cc (70-80 mpg/50 mph) from $1,500; or 250cc (60 mpg/75mph) ranging from $2,500 to $4,000. Scooter purchases also include your 300 mile tune-up (a $250 value!). TUC also offers several financing options for your convenience. TUC’s electric bikes are R Martin and start at $950. These bikes go approximately 30 miles on a full charge and average 20 to 22 mph, and their selection of standard bikes is from Caloi. TUC also offers all the accessories you could want – helmets, bags, baskets, glasses, locks, clothing, and specialty items for customizing your ride!

TUC also has experienced mechanics that will take care of all your service needs - including oil changes, tune-ups, full service repairs and after-market custom work.
