Twitter is all the rage and one local Valley business is using Twitter to bring Arizona businesses together to help grow their business!

For the past 14 months, Darn Good Deals, http://www.darngooddeals.com, has used radio, television, newspaper, billboard/kiosks, search engine optimization, and more recently the Social Media, to help locally owned companies reach new customers.  Via their weekly radio show and website to connect Arizona businesses with consumers looking for darn good deals on a wide variety of products and services.    

Twitter has become a very large part of that helpful process.  Darn Good Deals very own Christina Wagner, or better known in the land of Twitter as AZDealGirl, posts daily deals from local businesses that may or may not be on their site.  Due to the content, her posts are regularly retweeted and have been picked up by approximately 1,660 websites (per Google search November 5, 2009).  After realizing the connection Twitter has had on a cyber level, the company sought a way to connect with others interested in Twitter.  While there were many “learn how to” events, it did not seem there were many with a focus on meeting other businesses using Twitter.

The first Meet and Tweet will be held November 18, 2009 at 5:00 p.m. at Results Health and Fitness (http://www.resultshealthandfitness.com ), located at 805 S. Bogle Avenue, Suite 1, Chandler, AZ.,  85225.  The style will be a fun mix and mingle encouraging Business Networking.  For those familiar with Twitter, this is a great opportunity to meet those that you tweet with.  The format is to take existing Twitter relationships and grow them in the real world.  You can also make new Twitter connections and grow your business. Anyone who has a Twitter account, or is curious about what Twitter has to offer, should join this group.

Each month the events will be held at a locally owned business and the location will rotate all around the valley.
